Parwan is a province in central Afghanistan, located just north of Kabul. Cuisine and Specialties
- Kabuli Pulao: A fragrant rice dish topped with tender lamb, raisins, and carrots.
- Mantu: Dumplings filled with seasoned meat and topped with yogurt.
Kachari: is a simple dish made of rice and lentils, flavored with spices and fried onions, and is especially popular in winter.
- Shola Ghorbandi: is a thick stew from Parwan made with rice, meat, beans, lentils, and vegetables, popular in colder months.

Bamyan province, renowned for its rich history and breathtaking landscapes, hosts several significant cultural events. These include  Nowruz (New Year) , celebrated with music, dance, and traditional foods; the  Bamyan Cultural Festival , where local handicrafts, music, and arts are showcased; the  Shah-Koh Festival , featuring outdoor activities like hiking and picnics in the scenic Shah-Koh region; and  Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha  celebrations with communal prayers and family gatherings. These festivals not only allow the people of Bamyan to celebrate their cultural heritage but also play a key role in preserving and promoting local traditions.
